시편33장
1 너희 의인들아 여호와를 즐거워하라 찬송은 정직한 자들이 마땅히 할 바로다 Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
2 수금으로 여호와께 감사하고 열 줄 비파로 찬송할지어다
Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
3 새 노래로 그를 노래하며 즐거운 소리로 아름답게 연주할지어다 Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.
4 여호와의 말씀은 정직하며 그가 행하시는 일은 다 진실하시도다 For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.
5 그는 공의와 정의를 사랑하심이여 세상에는 여호와의 인자하심이 충만하도다 The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.
6 여호와의 말씀으로 하늘이 지음이 되었으며 그 만상을 그의 입 기운으로 이루었도다
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
7 그가 바닷물을 모아 무더기 같이 쌓으시며 깊은 물을 곳간에 두시도다 He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses.
8 온 땅은 여호와를 두려워하며 세상의 모든 거민들은 그를 경외할지어다 Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere him.
9 그가 말씀하시매 이루어졌으며 명령하시매 견고히 섰도다
For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.
10 여호와께서 나라들의 계획을 폐하시며 민족들의 사상을 무효하게 하시도다
The LORD foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
11 여호와의 계획은 영원히 서고 그의 생각은 대대에 이르리로다 But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.
12 여호와를 자기 하나님으로 삼은 나라 곧 하나님의 기업으로 선택된 백성은 복이 있도다
Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance.
13 여호와께서 하늘에서 굽어보사 모든 인생을 살피심이여
From heaven the LORD looks down and sees all mankind;
14 곧 그가 거하시는 곳에서 세상의 모든 거민들을 굽어살피시는도다 from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth-
15 그는 그들 모두의 마음을 지으시며 그들이 하는 일을 굽어살피시는 이로다
he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do.
16 많은 군대로 구원 얻은 왕이 없으며 용사가 힘이 세어도 스스로 구원하지 못하는도다
No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17 구원하는 데에 군마는 헛되며 군대가 많다 하여도 능히 구하지 못하는도다 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 여호와는 그를 경외하는 자 곧 그의 인자하심을 바라는 자를 살피사 But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19 그들의 영혼을 사망에서 건지시며 그들이 굶주릴 때에 그들을 살리시는도다
to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
20 우리 영혼이 여호와를 바람이여 그는 우리의 도움과 방패시로다 We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.
21 우리 마음이 그를 즐거워함이여 우리가 그의 성호를 의지하였기 때문이로다
In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.
22 여호와여 우리가 주께 바라는 대로 주의 인자하심을 우리에게 베푸소서 May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you.
